To se tam píše, to vím, ale myslím, že Honza to nezpracovává, tak se ptám. No nic, napíšu to sem a pošlu mu odkaz, to zní jako metoda.
Je někde tedy nějaké bližší zadání, o čem to setkání má být a jak má statement vypadat, prosím? Je to tu trochu nepřehledný.

The Office for Intergovernmental Support and Coordination (OISC) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs is pleased to announce an open call for oral and written statements for the 2020 ECOSOC High Level Segment (HLS) for NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC.
The theme for the 2020 session of the ECOSOC will be "Accelerated action and transformative pathways: realizing the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development".
The HLS includes the three-day ministerial meeting of the High-Level Political Forum on sustainable development (HLPF), convened under the auspices of the Council on the same theme.
Guidelines for Written Statements (READ FIRST!)
NGOs in general, special, or roster consultative status are encouraged to submit written statements on the theme of the HLS. Due to the high number of submissions, we highly encourage NGOs to make joint statements with other NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC. NGOs submitting written statements must adhere to the following guidelines:

NGOs may submit one individual statement per organization, or may sign on to one joint statement;

A written statement must be submitted in either English or French;

A written statement submitted by an NGO in consultative status must not exceed 2,000 words (general status) or 500 words (roster or special status).

Written statement should address the priority theme of the 2020 ECOSOC High Level Segment mentioned above, which is also the theme of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. The written statements should present ideas and solutions and/or showcase innovative initiatives and actions to accelerate the SDGs’ implementation.


NGOs wishing to submit joint written statements must also adhere to the following guidelines:

If an organization submits a joint statement with another organization, it cannot co-sign other statements or submit an individual statement;

NGOs submitting joint statements with other organizations must have the agreement of all co-signers. The OISC will seek approval of all co-signers before including their name in the written statement submitted: please make sure to have all co-signers’ approval before submitting a written statement;

All organizations co-signing a joint statement must be in consultative status with ECOSOC.

Zdůraznil jsem ty body, které jsou nějak přímo zakomponované v naší politice a u kterých je šance, že je neřekne někdo jiný. Statementy bude posílat vskutku vysoké číslo organizací bych tipoval (byť tohle je trochu na PPI orientaci), tak považuji za důležité zopakovat základ a zdůraznit naše témata. Samozřejmě je možné přidávat a když dáš návrh tak ho může zapracovat RT nebo vzhledem k časovému presu jsem asi ochoten podlehnout rebélii a do žádosti pro Vojtu a Michala něco přidat.

The Pirates recognise the importance of sustainable development and the need to change our economic, social and political structures towards more open, participative models. We consider the following points priorities, if the transition is to happen succesfully and should not be just greenwashing and continuing bussiness as usual:

a) transition should happen in data driven, participatory way. Only strong participation of all stakeholders including well educated citizens is sustainable, all stakeholders must understand their role in the process.
b) the main point of the transition should be internalisation of external costs of carbon- and pollution- heavy industries, fossil fuels, habitat degradation etc., where a select few are reaping the profits and effectively socialising the real costs. and depleting both crucial resources and accelarating the climate change
c) we call upon all the stakeholders to use the full extent of already available technology. Current global pandemics serves also as wake up call, clearly showing which tasks can be completed via digital solutions, e.g. without travel generating high carbon footprint.
d) also, we call all stakeholders to consider transferring to open source technologies, loosening of intelectual property rights, thus effectively speeding up critical research which is essential both to sustainability and to combating the negative aspects of already happening climate change
e) the states should play the roles of both direct investors and regulators, using market forces to advance the sustainability agenda. Tools like emission trading systems, permits for natural resources exploitation (from oil mining to fishing) or agricultural subsidies should be expanded to internalise all real costs andused more efficiently to send strong incentives to modern sustainable evidence-based methods and technologies

We believe that not only the climate emergency or biodiversity loss must be adressed, but it also should lead to more fair, open and connected world. Authoritarian solutions to climateenvironmental probems would directly lead to trampling of human rights and unavoidable political crises.

V tom případě bych dodal něco ve smyslu "States should apply solutions which are already well supported by empirical evidence to be effective, while also investing into research and trials of new technologies. Both of these can and should be accelerated, in accordance with the session theme. On the other hand, we should refrain from massive global application of just newly emerging ideas, however promising they might seem, as many may prove to bear unexpected costs. Decentralisation and sharing of information is the way forward."

Já v PPI na věcech kolem OSN prakticky nedělám, ale každý input bodne. Existuje pracovní skupina, která se tomu věnuje, kam to za nás rád dodám.

Jinak se ten statement musí poslat zítra a pad PPI k němu je tady, kdyby měl někdo chuť přidat tam některé naše návrhy. Je ale potřeba brát v potaz, že limit je 500 slov.

Nemám úplně čas se tomu věnovat, ale zkopčil jsem tam naše aktuální znění (momentálně od řádku 62). Tak kdybyste na to někdo měli čas a leželo vám to na srdci, běžte tam a zkuste navrhnout zapracování do textu na začátku padu.

Jinak vším UN-related se v PPI zabývá pracovní skupina SCUBA (kalendář zde: https://pp-international.net/calendar/). Tedy pokud by chtěla mít PPCZ větší input, bylo by určitě žádoucí se jejích schůzek účastnit, abychom, až se něco bude příště draftovat, v tom byli od začátku.

Co znamenají ty šílené zkratky si nikdy nepamatuju, ale začínají obvykle SC (standing committee). SCUBA se zabývá vším kolem OSN (ECOSOCu). Jestli chceš, přidám tě do příslušného chatu na FB. Chat na FB průběžný kanál, čas od času mítink na Zoomu/Discordu (viz kalendář výše).

Tools like emission trading systems, permits for the exploitation of natural resources (from oil mining to fishing) or agricultural subsidies should be used more efficiently to provide strong incentives for modern sustainable evidence-based methods and technologies;
f) we need a clear incentive for social justice and community-based models of society, which will be able to offset the negative effects of globalisation in all measures taken;
g)states should apply solutions which are already well supported by empirical evidence, while also investing into research and trials of new technologies. Both of these can and should be accelerated, in accordance with the session theme.. Decentralisation and the sharing of information are the way forward.

Nevadí, ono zas o tak moc nejde. Příště holt musíme být rychlejší. Máme sice expertní týmy a spousty očí, co se na něco můžou podívat, ale právě proto, že jiní to nemají, jsme vůči nim pomalí. Finální znění, v jakém to odešlo:

c) Stakeholders should consider transferring to open source technologies, as well as loosening intellectual property rights, and thus effectively speeding up critical research and innovative developments.

d) States should serve as both direct investors and regulators, using market forces to advance a sustainability agenda. Tools such as emission trading systems, permits for natural resources exploitation, and agricultural subsidies should be used more efficiently to create strong incentives to modernize.

e) Online voting must be embraced with easy accessibility and transparency to ensure that leadership is not authoritarian, and everyone can be represented. Horizontal decision-making should also be promoted within smaller organizations who also have constituents.

f) States should apply solutions which are supported by empirical evidence, while also investing into research and trials of new technologies. Yet, we should refrain from scaling-up newly emerging ideas just for their novel promise without independent scientific review. Decentralisation and sharing of information is our way forward.

We believe solutions to environmental problems, human rights, political crises, and health crises will be found with innovative technological solutions. Sustainable development through an online, digital transition of services must ensure we develop into a more fair, open and connected world. The current pandemic exposed how many sectors of society resisted innovation and now recognize the necessities of certain tools. It is essential to have care for the elderly and food supply chains that are not entirely reliant on physical meetings. Now more than ever we must harness innovative attitudes and ideas. PPI welcomes the incredible multinational cooperation happening in this ECOSOC HLPF. We support countries working together to achieve sustainable development. We express our solidarity with our fellow NGOs working to create sustainable development in all the SDGs, and we look forward to discussing further online and digital methods to make sustainable development more efficient and just.
