· Wednesday 27. 5. EC presents Recovery Plan - S would like a quick Pirate response to sent to media. General opinion on recovery plan.
· Format would be press release in all languages and social media.

2. Improving the EP’s calendar (Marcel) - text below

· Marcel contacted by Anna Cavazinni to modify EP calendar so that there is three more Green weeks. Green week of Easter would be turned into a white one as difficult to reach citizens that are on holidays, and MEPs, too.
· Marketa agrees with more time in constituencies, acknowledges it needs to be compensated by more work in the EP.
· Nor Marcel, neither Marketa or Patrick have a problem with the proposal
· Acc. to Marcel might be difficult for Fridays in EP to be agreed due to long travel some MEPs need to make
· Result -> positive feedback and in favour of opening the debate about it

Improving the Parliament's Calendar
The calendar of the European Parliament regulates all its activities. Under current conditions, it prioritizes work in the Parliament premises, making it harder for Parliamentarians to be present in their constituencies. Given the shift towards remote working during the COVID-19 crisis and the availability of remote participation in many meetings (e.g., shadow meetings), we believe it is worth revisiting the priorities under which the calendar is currently defined. The revision has two gloals: We belive that in times of rising EU-scepticism it is more urgent than ever before to be in touch with the people, spend time in the constituencies, explain and discuss EU policies. Also, the climate crisis makes it necessary for the European Parliament to rethink its high travel volume. This document outlines priorities for defining the European Parliament’s Calendar and acknowledges conditions that need to be met, before making proposals.
01 Priorities for an improved EP Calendar
· Allow for more time in constituencies.
· Ensure legislative work is fully possible.
· Ensure legal obligations are met, e.g., with treaty provisions.
· Ensure remuneration incentives do not impede representation, productivity or health.
· Ensure inter-institutional planning and alignment is honored.
· Ensure there is no regional discrimination for Members
02 Conditions that need to be met
· Delegation meetings
· Legal provisions, i.e. 12 Plenary weeks in Strasbourg
· Holidays to be honored
· Travel times for distant countries
· Enough time for Group & Committee meetings
03 First concrete proposals for improvements
· Plenary meetings should not be reduced
· 12 Green weeks, not coinciding with holidays, 1 of which during the Europe week leading up to May 9th, Europe day
· The increased number of Green weeks shall have no effect on the legislative work of the Parliament and shall be compensated by adding Committee and Group week time on Friday mornings until noon
· 1 additional white week over the Easter holidays
· Remote participation should be made available by default, and if not, identify 1 specific week every two months, where remote work is default

5. Greens/EFA rules on phasing out of confinement (Petra)
· Group’s guidelines - in addition to EP rules - invites all MEPs to follow these guidelines for the organisation of their own offices and staff
· recommends that teleworking remains the rule up to the 31st July, unless physical presence is absolutely necessary
· one person per office - home-office on rotating basis
· For Group staff: it is mandatory to take four weeks minimum of annual leave during the summer break of which two weeks must be consecutive (between 19 July and 31st August 2020). Note that the "INTERNAL RULES GOVERNING LEAVE" say anyway: "Staff members must endeavour to use up their leave entitlement during the year in which that entitlement is earned...
